Loretta Evanell Cable

Loretta Evanell Sluder Cable 87 of Andrews, NC passed away, Monday, January 20, 2025 at Erlanger-Murphy Medical in Murphy, NC.

    She was a native of Swain County and the daughter of the late John and Hellen Hall Sluder. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Cable; brothers, Johnny Sluder and Billy Sluder.

    She is survived by her son, Charlie Cable of Andrews, NC; daughters, Loretta Williams, Diana Cable, both of Andrews, NC, Carolyn Foster of Murphy, NC; sister, JoAnn Sluder of Lenoir City, TN;  three grandchildren, Jamie Foster, Josh Foster, Justin Pass; and four great grandchildren, Hunter, Zoe, River, and Aiden

    Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, January 24, 2025 at the Townson-Smith Chapel. Reverend Steve Cochran will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Powell Branch Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 till 1:00 pm Friday at the Chapel prior to the service.
