Lowell Cable

Lowell Cable, 89, of the Sweetwater Community of Robbinsville, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Harris Regional Hospital.

He was the son of the late Earlie and Carrie Taylor Cable.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jonell Orr Cable in 2014; grandson Bryan Smith, brothers Lenford Cable, Paul Cable and Lester Cable; sisters Louise Carver, Thelma Carver and Earlene Wiggins.

He is survived by his daughter Debbie Eller and husband Kenneth of Robbinsville, NC; brother Bobby Cable and wife Sharon of Robbinsville; and grandson Brandon Smith of High Point, NC and his long-time friend and companion Francis Stewart.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, August 21, 2025 at the Townson-Smith Chapel. The Reverends Wayne McGuire and Larry Icenhower will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:00 prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.
