Rev. Luther Crisp, 86 of Robbinsville, NC passed away, Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC.
He was a native of Graham County and the son of the late William Wade and Florence Effie Icenhower Crisp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Wade Crisp in 2013.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Shelia Lynn Crisp; sons and daughter-in-law, Mark and Vicie Crisp of Robbinsville, NC, Alvin Crisp of Robbinsville, NC; daughters and son-in-law, Maria Stewart of Pickens, SC, Becky and Scott Hooper of Robbinsville, NC; brother, Claude Crisp of Maryville, TN; sisters, Ollie Radford of Cleveland, TN, and Irene Overholt of Maryville, TN. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Santeetlah Baptist Church. The Reverends Larry Icenhower, Jim Beasley, and Kim Clark will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Santeetlah Cemetery where Military Rites and Flag Presentation will be conducted by the Robbinsville Carringer-Webster VFW Post #8635, the Eller-Rogers American Legion Post #192, and the North Carolina National Guard Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 till 2:00 pm Sunday at the Church prior to the service.
