Martha Parks

Martha Parks, age 92 of Robbinsville, NC passed away June 29, 2020. Beloved aunt of Mike (Barbara) Parks, Jane (Randy) Staton, Patrick (Therese) Parks and Joan Parks.

Martha spent the majority of her life as a Social Worker serving the people of Graham and Cherokee Counties.

Martha loved nature and never missed an opportunity to take her nieces and nephews to Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest to show them the beautiful trees.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, John and James Parks, and her sister, Margaret "Peenie" Parks.

A Catholic Mass will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 4, 2020 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Robbinsville, NC.  Her family will be receiving friends Saturday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the church prior to the service.   Burial will follow at Old Mother Cemetery.

Due to the risk of exposure to COVID19 it is requested that individuals attending the service practice social distancing.  In addition, NC Executive Order 147 requires anyone over age 11 to wear face coverings in public areas.
