Mary Ann (Hyde) Christiansen

Mary Ann Hyde Christiansen, 75, of the Dick Branch Community in Robbinsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at UT Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. 

A native of Graham County, she was the daughter of the late Edward Glenn and Nettie Louise Hedrick Hyde.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Edward Holder in December 1987, and Terry Christiansen, Sr. in December 2016; and her brothers in law, Denman Adams, J.C. Duckett, and Howson Willmore. 

Mary Ann attended Cedar Cliff Baptist Church. 

She is survived by her brothers and sisters in law, Doyle and Grace Hyde and Barry and Evonne Hyde, all of Robbinsville, NC; her sisters, Loretta Willmore, Katherine Adams, and Gail Duckett, all of Robbinsville, NC; her step-children and their spouses, Terry Christiansen, Jr (Karen) of Waynesville, NC, Eric Christiansen (Sarah) of Sylva, NC, Chad Christiansen (Stacy) of Surprise, AZ, and Yvonne Steinfeldt (Jim) of  New Tazewell, Tennessee.  She has10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, several nieces and nephews, and her special little buddies, Conner and Raylynn Waldroup. 

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Carver Cemetery.  Reverends Daniel Stewart and Noah Williams will officiate.  Her nephews will serve as pallbearers. 

Due to the risk of exposure to COVID 19, face coverings and social distancing are required at the cemetery.
