Mary Imogene (Ayers) Stiles

     Mary Imogene Stiles, 92 of Hendersonville, NC passed away, Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at the Elizabeth House Hospice in Flat Rock, NC.

     She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late Wayne and Margaret Ruby Harwood Ayers.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Morris Ayers, Charles Ayers, Jim Ayers, and sister, Evelyn Mathis.

     She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Mark Elmore of Mountain Home, NC; grandchildren, Christina McCormack, Mark J. Elmore; and sister, Ann Turner of Blue Ridge, GA; and 5 great grandchildren, Ben, Emily and Zach McCormack and Ava and Vera Elmore.

     Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 25, 2024 at the Townson-Smith Chapel.  The Reverend Daniel Stewart will officiate.  Burial will follow the service at the Old Mother Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at the Chapel prior to the Service.
