Mary Carolyn (Taylor) Lewis

Mary Carolyn Lewis, 79 of Robbinsville, NC passed away, Friday, December 19, 2025, at Care Partners Solace Center in Asheville, NC.

          She was a native of Cherokee county and the daughter of the late Herman Larry Taylor and Mary Ellen White Taylor.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Robert Owens, and her brother, Harold Eugene Taylor.

          Her favorite hobbies included sewing and cooking; and she loved to go shopping.

          She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Robert Melton Lewis Sr., son, Robert Melton Lewis Jr. (Leesa) of Bryson City, NC, daughter, Robyn Prince (Gregg) of Robbinsville, NC, brother, Larry Taylor of Andrews, NC; her, loving mother-in-law, Edna Mae Farr, and precious sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Lanchel Kelley of Robbinsville, NC.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Cynthia Lewis, Jeremy Lewis, Erika Graves (Jason), Gregory Leonard Prince Jr. (Josie), Kristopher Owens (Danielle), Miriam Porter (Troy), Nicholas Owens (Traci); and great grandchildren, Kaison Reeves, Karsyn Lewis, McKenzie Lewis, Brookelyn Shaw, Breeley Turpin, Carson Turpin, Liam Prince, Leela Prince, Abbie Owens and Tessa Owens.

          Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 22, 2025, at the Townson-Smith Chapel.  The Reverends Wayne McGuire and Eric Sellers will officiate.  Burial will follow the service at Bear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 till 2:00 pm Monday at the Chapel prior to the service.

          Pall Bearers will be Jeremy Lewis, Max Mason, Jacob Bradley, Nicholas Owens, Jacob Shaw, and Clay Grindstaff.
