Matthew Stan Miller

Matthew Stan Miller, 40 of the Beech Creek Community of Robbinsville, passed away, Sunday, October 16, 2022, in a house fire after saving his mother and niece while attempting to rescue their beloved dog Scrappy.

          He was a native of Dekalb Co. Georgia and the son of Leslie Miles Duncan and the late Henry Duncan

          In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Tanya Nations Miller of Young Harris, GA; daughters, Makayla Bouchard of Young Harris, GA, Summer Nations of Clayton, GA, Brianna Pickelsimer of El Paso, TX; brother, Chris Duncan of Robbinsville, NC; Niece, Aerilaya Duncan; grandmother, Gwen Miles of Robbinsville, NC; and 2 grandchildren, Asher Carver, and Alyssa Hardiman.

          A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Buffalo Baptist Church.  The Reverend Jack Easter will officiate.
