Maxine (Orr) Crisp

Maxine Orr Crisp, 89 of the Sweetwater Community of Robbinsville, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Graham Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

          A native of Graham County, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Nora Elliott Orr and the wife of the late Pearson Crisp.  In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brothers, Gene Orr, and Ray Orr, and sister Glena Lail.

          Maxine was a faithful member of Sweetwater Baptist Church and served as a Sunday School teacher and church treasurer for over 40 years.

          She is survived by her sister, Wilma Millsaps, brother, Gerald Orr, and sister-in-law, Carol Orr, in addition to many nieces, nephews and their families.

          Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, May 12, 2025, at the Townson-Smith Chapel.  Reverends G.D. Phillips and Patrick Breedlove will officiate.  Burial will follow the service at the Old Mother Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 till 1:00 pm Monday at the Chapel prior to the service.
