Michael Shawn Buchanan

Michael Shawn Buchanan, 54 of the Ollies Creek Community of Robbinsville, NC passed away, Sunday, August 4, 2024, at his residence.

          He was a native of Graham County and the son of Mary “Sissy” Garland and the late Billy Buchanan, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Joey Buchanan.

          In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Tara Natasha Stratton Buchanan; sons and their spouses, Coy and Miranda of Robbinsville, NC, Lance and Kyle of Washington, DC; granddaughter, Naomi Buchanan; brothers, Brian Garland, Teddy Buchanan, Jack Buchanan all of Robbinsville, NC; sisters, Kim Garland, and Laney Millsaps both of Robbinsville, NC.

          Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at the Townson-Smith Chapel.  Reverend Larry Icenhower will officiate.  Burial will follow the service at Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 am till 12:00 pm Wednesday at the Chapel prior to the service.
