Michael Carpenter Obituary

Michael David Carpenter, 64, of Sylva, NC, formerly of Robbinsville, NC, passed away Sunday June 21, 2020 in Sylva, NC.

He was the son of Shirley Cook of Robbinsville, NC. Preceding him in death were his brothers, Randy Carpenter and Terry Carpenter, and his sister, Donna Carpenter.

Michael was a longtime employee of Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Randi Carpenter and Christopher Carpenter, both of Sylva, NC, and his sister, Brenda Cornwell of Murphy, NC. He has 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
