On August 26th Mildred R. Blevins, 97, of Robbinsville began the promise of God to his people “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord ” (2 Cor 5:8).
She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late Claude and Mary Carver Rogers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband’s Warren Humes, father of her children, and Richard Blevins, brothers Delmas Rogers and Woodrow Rogers.
Mildred is survived by her son R.J. Humes (Martha), daughter Pam Knott, grandchildren Warren Knott (Shannon), Amanda Humes (Shawn), and Brad Humes (Sarah), great grandchildren Raylee Knott and Dane Knott.
All those she loved and touched deeply, please join us as we celebrate her Life on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at 2:00pm in the Old Mother Cemetery. The Reverend Eric Reece and her long time friend Marty Maxwell will officiate.
