Minnie Jo (Hedrick) Watts

     Minnie Jo Hedrick Watts, 89 of Robbinsville, NC went home to be with her Heavenly Father, Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.

     She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late Jasper and Mary Stewart Hedrick.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ted Hedrick, Lennox Hedrick, Diamond Hedrick, and her husband, Earl Watts.

     She is survived by her children and their spouses, Tina and David Carver of Robbinsville, NC, Ronnie and Terry Hedrick, Wayne and Yvonne Duvall both of Lakeland, FL; sisters, Novella Hyde, Roma Atwell both of Robbinsville, NC; and brother, Lloyd Hedrick of Robbinsville, NC.  She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Ronnie Hedrick II, Jesse Hedrick, Abbie Duvall Bannister, Carlton Duvall, Koty Burdette, and 7 great grandchildren.

     Minnie will forever be remembered by the love she shown, but she will also be remembered for her ability to make anything beautiful from the nature around her.  Minnie has scoped out every fern in the woods, knew where the prettiest moss grew, turned every rock in the creek over at least twice, and had the gift to make anything grow and bloom.

     Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Cedar Cliff Baptist Church.  The Reverends Daniel Stewart and Brian Stevens will officiate.  Burial will follow at Carver Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 till 2:00 pm Tuesday at the Church prior to the service.
