Paul Douglas "Doug" Williams

Paul Douglas “Doug” Williams, age 70 of the Yellow Creek community of Robbinsville, NC went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, NC.

          He was a native of Graham County and the son of the late Dave and Hettie Anderson Williams.

          Doug was a member of Grace Tabernacle Baptist Church since its beginning in August of 1976.  There he faithfully served as Deacon and for many years as a Sunday School Teacher. 

          He was always thankful for God’s many blessings on his life.  He will be remembered for his sweet and kind spirit and how much he loved the Lord and his Word.  Doug will be missed by so many, but he has reached his home in heaven where he will be rejoicing forever.

          He is survived by his loving wife, Faye Williams; his sons Kevin Williams, Todd Williams and his wife, Lisa all of Robbinsville, NC; grandchildren, Andy, Alex, Taylor Williams, and Tori Beth Haney; sister, Helen Jenkins of Clinton, TN; brothers and their wives, Jackie and Francis Williams of Robbinsville, NC, Dan and Margaret Braswell of Weaverville, NC, David and Betty Braswell of North Wilkesboro, NC and Shirey and Nikki Braswell of Dayton, OH.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and lots of good friends.

          Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, May 30, 2019 at the Townson-Smith Chapel.  The Reverends Jimmy Millsaps and John Ward will officiate.  Burial will follow the service at Lower Yellow Creek Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 till 3:00 pm Thursday at the Chapel prior to the service.
