Peggy (Ayers) Trost

Peggy A. Trost, 84 of Robbinsville, NC and Maryville, TN went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 1, 2026.

          She was a native of Knox County and the daughter of the late Clyde and Ella Mae Hardin Ayers.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Martin Trost III in March of 2025, her son, Frederick “Marty” Trost IV; and her siblings, Paul Ayers, Doyle Ayers, and Peggy Ann Sherrill.

          She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Donnie Orr of Maryville, TN; grandchildren, Jordan (John) Hill, Hannah (Nick) Martelli, Carin Trost, Caleb Trost, Ethan Trost, Graceson Trost; great grandson, Leo Martin Hill; and brothers, Buck Ayers, Jackie Ayers, Ronnie Ayers; sisters, Kay Ayers, Connie Conover, and Nahala Nichols.

          Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.  Reverends David Blackney and John Hill will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 till 3:00 pm at the Townson-Smith Chapel prior to the graveside.
