Richard Beasley, 74, of Robbinsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.
A native of Graham County, he was the son of the late Hardy Beasley and Lydia Hollifield Beasley Panter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Maybelle Beasley.
Richard was a builder by trade. He enjoyed helping others and was a kind and generous person. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and doing fun things with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Lorena Beasley, and his sons and daughter in law, Todd Beasley and Mitch and Crystal Beasley, all of Robbinsville, NC. He has four grandchildren, Lindsay Campbell, Tate Beasley, Allison Beasley, and Kamri Beasley. He also has three great grandchildren, Josie, Jude, and Jolie Campbell. He loved and enjoyed each one in a special way. He is also survived by three sisters, Pauline Solesbee of Robbinsville, NC, Dorothy Beasley of Murphy, NC, and Pearl Williams and her husband, Beecher of Robbinsville, NC. Richard was loved by a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the Townson-Smith Chapel. The Reverends Harold Beasley and Luther Crisp will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 pm Sunday at the Chapel, prior to the service. Burial will follow at Lower Yellow Creek Cemetery.
