Robin (Nelms) Long

       Robin Nelms Long, 58 of Robbinsville, NC passed away, Monday, January 22, 2024, at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville, NC.

       She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late Eugene and Thetus Brooks Nelms. She is proceeded in death by her brother Dennis Nelms; sister Gavene Collins and infant sister Sharlene Nelms.

      She is survived by her husband Ned Long, son’s Bart West of Robbinsville, NC and Forrest Long of Hayesville, NC, brother Darrell Nelms and wife Mary of Robbinsville, NC, sister Patsy Nelms and husband Bob Lyerly of Bradenton FL., one grandson and one on the way; along with several nieces and nephews.

       Funeral services will be held at New Hope Baptist Church at 3:00 pm, Tuesday January 30th, 2024. The Reverends Scott Roper and Brian Stevens will officiate along with speaker Shane McMonigle. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 at New Hope prior to the service.
