Ronald Steve Jenkins

Ronald Steve Jenkins, of Humble TX, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.

He was the son of Hilda Sawyer Jenkins of Stecoah, NC, and the late Frazier Jenkins.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Reba Jenkins Woodard, and his brother, Rex Jenkins.

In addition to his mother, Ron is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Jane Satterfield Jenkins of Humble, TX; his children, Erin Jenkins of Stecoah, NC, and Steven Jenkins of Stecoah, NC; his step-daughter, Jessica Yates of Robbinsville, NC; and his step-sons, Eric Yates of Holly Rodge, NC, and Travis Yates of Lufkin, TX; and his brother, Gary Jenkins of Stecoah, NC.  He has 8 grandchildren, Leo Jenkins, Elliot Yates, Owen Yates, Brandon Yates, Caleb Draper, Elizabeth Ayers, Cameron Yates, Kyra Yates, and one great grandchild, Dean Miller.

Ron was a member of Stecoah Baptist Church.

Viewing will be private.  Graveside services will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, September 17, 2021, at Lower Yellow Creek Cemetery, with Rev. Mike Teem officiating.

Due to the risk of exposure to COVID 19, facial coverings and social distancing will be required for those attending the service.
