Roy Lee Marcus

Roy Lee Marcus, 68 of the Meadow Branch Community of Robbinsville, NC passed away, Sunday, May 7, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his family.

          He was a native of Graham County and the son of the late Ira Lee and Bertha Farley Marcus.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joe Marcus, Ray Marcus and sister, Debbie Jones.

          Roy was a faithful and longtime member of Meadow Branch Primitive Baptist Church.  He also served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher for many years, until his failing health.

          He is survived by his wife, Melbaree Cook Marcus; sons and their wives, Zack and Elizabeth Marcus of Franklin, NC, Kyle and Ariel Marcus of Robbinsville, NC; grandchildren, Genesis Marcus, Aubree Marcus, Ellari Marcus; and sister, Carol Odom of Robbinsville, NC.

          Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Meadow Branch Primitive Baptist Church.  The Reverends Rex Allen Sellers and Tommy Boring will officiate.  The Burial will follow the service at Farley Branch Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 till 2:00 pm Thursday at the Church prior to the service.
