Ruby Turpin Crisp, 86, of the Yellow Creek Community in Robbinsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 3, 2020 at her residence.
A native of Graham County, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Anderson Turpin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Crisp; her daughter, Lavada Ann Crisp; her son, Darrell Crisp; her brother, Lowell Crisp; and her sister, Ruhie Anderson.
Ruby is survived by her sons, David Crisp and Delmas Crisp, both of Robbinsville, NC; her daughters, Leisa Richards, Leta Rogers, and Cheri Massey, all of Robbinsville, NC; her brothers, Rev. Max Turpin of Robbinsville, NC, and George “Buddy” Turpin of Dayton, OH; and her sisters, Patsy Williams of Robbinsville, NC, Jerline Zimmerman of Tampa, FL, and Francine Rich of Sanford, NC. She has six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, August 7, 2020 at the Townson-Smith Chapel. Reverends Eric Sellers, Max Turpin, and Jimmy Millsaps will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at the Chapel, prior to the service. Burial will follow at Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.
Due to the risk of exposure to COVID19 it is requested that individuals attending the service practice social distancing. In addition, NC Executive Order 147 requires anyone over age 11 to wear face coverings in public areas.
