Samuel David Shope Jr.

Samuel Shope Jr, age 55 of Robbinsville, NC passed away, Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, NC.

          He was a native of Graham County and the son of the late Samuel and Willa Bell Moore Shope.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Sidney Joe Polston, and his half brothers, David Shope, Tim Shope, and Kenneth Shope.

          He is survived by his wife, Brenda Crisp Shope; Son, Brian Crisp of Robbisnville, NC; sister, Libby Sellers of Robbinsville, NC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Linda Shope of Robbinsville, NC, Daniel and Amy Byrd Shope of Bessemer City, NC; and 2 grandchildren, Austin, and Daxton Crisp.

          Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday, October 3, 2021, at the Townson-Smith Chapel.  The Reverends Teddy Silvers and Rex Allen Sellers will officiate.  Burial will follow the Service at Santeetlah Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 till 1:00 pm at the Chapel prior to the service.
