Shalimar Freedom Daniels, 18, of Robbinsville, NC went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.
She was the daughter of Martha Rae Millsaps and the late Adam Daniels. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Hope Daniels; grandparents, Van and Dottie Millsaps; and uncle, Toby Millsaps.
Shalimar stole the hearts of Graham County, and she leaves a trail of tears and laughter in her wake. Her sassy personality, enthusiastic stories, colorful outfits, custom made bracelets, and freeform crochet creatures spread smiles wherever she went.
A native of Graham County, she was Robbinsville High Schools biggest fan, but football (and football players) were her favorite. She was a social butterfly and never met a stranger; within five minutes of meeting her, you would be her best friend.
She repented of her sins and trusted in Jesus Christ. As a new creation, if she had been given the opportunity, she would have boldly invited you to join her in loving Jesus and the dance party that she surely will be having in his presence. As a beloved daughter of Graham County, her “flying away” leaves a void that no other person could ever fill.
Shalimar leaves behind family and many friends who will be broken in her absence but rejoicing that she’s home in heaven with her Lord and Savior. She is survived by her, mother, Martha Rae Millsaps Daniels; sisters, Heather Daniels and Faith Daniels; grandparents, Terry and Carolyn Crawford; aunts, April Sands, Pam Orr, Phyllis Phillips and Joann Johnson; Brother-in-law, Tommy Pilkington; nephews, Hagen Dyer and Gage Pilkington. Also honored to love her is the Kamps family: Scott, Jackie, Timmy, Gracie, Jonny, Joshy, Aidan; and her family at Grace Fellowship Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 till 7:00 pm Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Lone Oak Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Lone Oak Baptist Church. Reverends Patrick O’Dell and Josh Holder will officiate. Burial will follow the service at the Gladden Cemetery.
Townson-Smith Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Daniels family.
