Shirley Mae McMonigle

     Shirley Mae McMonigle formerly of Maryland passed away, Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at her daughter and son-in-law's home in Punta Gorda, Florida.

     A native of Roxboro, NC she was the daughter of the late Jesse Owen and Vida Garrison Owen.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dennis McMonigle; sister, Carol Letma; and brothers, James Owen and Donald Owen.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edgar "Sonny Boy" McMonigle in November of 2022.

     She is survived by her son Randall McMonigle of Cockeysville, MD; daughter, Debra McMonigle Hnat of Punta Gorda, FL; 9 grandchildren, and 17 great granchildren.

     Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm Monday, December 18, 2023, at Lone Oak Baptist Church.  The Reverend Scott Roper will officiate.  Burial will follow the service at Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 am till 12:00 pm at the Church prior to the service.
