Ted Hedrick

John Ted Hedrick, 89, went home to be with the Lord in the early morning on Sunday, October 10, 2021, at his son’s home surrounded by his loving family.

          He was the son of the late Jasper and Mary Stewart Hedrick and a lifelong resident of the Snowbird Community in Robbinsville, NC.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Ronnie Jaynes and his brother, Lennox Hedrick.

          He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Hester Jenkins Hedrick; his son, Eric Hedrick (Wanda) of Lenoir City, TN; daughters, Cindy Standridge (Jr.) of Lenoir City, TN, Edith Jaynes of Canton, GA, Denise Burke (Grant) of Robbinsville, NC; brothers, Diamond Hedrick of Asheville, NC, Lloyd Hedrick of Robbinsville, NC; sisters, Novella Hyde, Minnie Jo Watts, and Roma Atwell all of Robbinsville, NC.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Rachael Roberts, Brooke Ford, Tommy Roberts, Shellie Vaughn, Erika Stull, Jake Hedrick, Lance Burke, Lacey Andrews, and 26 great grandchildren.

          Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, October 14, 2021, at the Carver Cemetery. Ted’s son-in-law, Rev. Grant Burke, and his grandson, Rev. Lance Burke will officiate.
