Venice (Bailey) Lemmons

     Venice Lemmons, 81 of Swannanoa, NC passed away, Monday, February 13, 2023, at Emerald Ridge Care Center in Swannanoa, NC.

     She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late Clyde and Vergie Tipton Bailey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James D. “Jimmy” Lemmons in 2013, her brother, Roy Bailey, and her sister, Pearl Williams.

     She is survived by her sisters, Grace Rice of Kings Mountain, NC, Olean Crisp of Alexis, NC, Charlene Jenkins of Morristown, TN, Nellie Odom of Cleveland, TN, her brother, Ronald Bailey of Stecoah, NC and several nieces and nephews.

     Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Dry Creek Baptist Church. The Reverends Daniel Stewart and Coy Adams will officiate. Burial will follow the service at the Jenkins Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 till 1:00 pm Thursday at the Church prior to the service.
