Vincent Adams, age 90, of Robbinsville, NC, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 26, 2024, surrounded by his devoted wife and children.
Born on April 6, 1934, to the late Ish and Ethel Rogers Adams. Vincent was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and a dedicated member of his community. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Angela Adams; his grandchildren, Ricky Adams, Dusty Sellers, Nahala Bree, and Logan Millsaps; siblings, Clara Adams, Lenor Hyde, Hub Adams, Ula Mae Adams, and Dillard Adams.
Vincent was a longtime member of Hosanna Baptist Church, and his faith was a central part of his life and his commitment to the Lord was an inspiration to those around him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mildred Guffey Adams. Together they shared many wonderful years, raising a large and loving family. Vincent was a proud father to Michael (Susan) Adams, Marvin (Gail) Adams, Brenda (Randall) Lee, Darrell (Tonya) Adams, Darlene (Clark) Lovingood, James Adams, Dianne (Dale) Wiggins, David (Felicia) Adams, Aileen (Duane) Evans, and Barry (Angie) Adams. He also cherished his grandchildren, Brent Adams, Calvin Adams, Crissy Birchfield, Travis Adams, Natasha Williams, Stephanie Martinez, Ashley Adams, Brandon Sellers, David Lovingood, Sara Lovingood, Jake Wiggins, Jeremy Wiggins, Dalton Wiggins, Colby Adams, Chris Adams, Josh Evans, Jesse Evans, Kelsey Krizan, Mason Evans, Collin Evans, Willie Adams, Matthew Adams, and Kaylie Adams. Vincent’s last living siblings are, Danny Adams, J.D. Adams, and Doris Trantum.
Vincent Spent much of his life as a self-employed as a farmer, where his dedication to hard work and his love of the land helped provide for his family. He also worked in the logging industry at Bemis Lumber. His strong values and work ethic were admired by all who knew him, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and commitment to his family.
Vincent’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed, but his faith and love will be carried forward by those who survive him. His children believed that he gave them the greatest gift anyone could give another person, he believed in them.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, September 30, 2024, at the Townson-Smith chapel. Brother Eric Sellers will officiate. Burial will follow the service at the Carver Cemetery.
The Family will receive friends from 12:00 till 1:00 pm Monday at the Chapel prior to the service.
