Walter Osterman

    Walter Osterman, 90 of the Milltown Community of Robbinsville, NC passed away, Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at his residence.

      He was a native of Deland, FL but has resided in Robbinsville for many years.  He was the son of the late Otto and Estelle Murz Osterman.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Fretwell Osterman in July of 2013.

     He is survived by his sons, Mark Craig Osterman Sr. of The Woodlands, TX, Walter O. Osterman Jr. of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Cheryl Lynn Northum of The Woodlands, TX, Mark C. Osterman Jr. of San Antonio, TX, Forrest Osterman of Hampton Falls, NH, Colin Osterman of Memphis, TN, Nathanel Osterman of Cooperstown, NY, Lindsey Osterman of Chicago, IL; and great grandchildren, Henry and Max Northum, Jeremiah, James, Daniel, and Natalie Osterman, Francisco Osterman, Rowan, Emmaline, and Annabelle Osterman.

     Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at the Townson-Smith Chapel.  The Reverend Daniel Stewart will officiate.  Burial will follow the service at Carver Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 till 11:00 am at the Chapel prior to the service.
