William Anthony Ditmore, Sr. 78 of Robbinsville, NC passed away, Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Graham Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
He was a native of Graham County and the son of the late Mack and Lena Orr Ditmore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Aldridge Ditmore in June of 2021, sisters, Dianne Cody, Hazel Miller, and Infant brother, James Ditmore. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Anthony loved serving his community and did so through his work as a pharmacist for many years. He and Linda owned the local pharmacy Ditmore Drugs, where they both made lasting relationships with the employees and citizens of Graham County. Anthony loved working as a pharmacist and loved helping others.
He is survived by his sons, Billy Ditmore (Alaina), Bobby Ditmore (Kaye) both of Robbinsville, NC; sisters Portia Graham of Washington, DC, Marie Lovin of Gastonia, NC; and grandchildren, Reagan, Houston, Bronxon, Ethre, Electa, and Lochlainn.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am till 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at the Townson-Smith Chapel. Due to the limited amount of parking, Private Graveside services will be held following the visitation at the Upper Yellow Creek Cemetery. Reverend Daniel Stewart will officiate.
