Evlee "Granny" Rutherford

Evlee “Granny” Rutherford, 88, of Robbinsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 6, 2017 at J.F. Keever Solace Center in Asheville, NC.

          A native of Graham County, she was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Frankie Burchfield Rutherford.

          She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Kathleen and Roy Grooms, of Robbinsville, NC; her granddaughter, Allison Grooms of Robbinsville, NC; and her great grand daughter, Emily Crisp of Robbinsville, NC.  She has several nieces and nephews.

          The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 12:30 pm Tuesday at the Townson-Smith Chapel, prior to the service.  Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Carver Cemetery.  The Reverend Luther Crisp will officiate.
