Lewis Burton Jordan

Lewis Burton Jordan, 70, of the Jutts Creek Community in Robbinsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Murphy Medical Center in Murphy, NC.

          A native of Graham County, he was the son of the late James L. “Jim” and Allie Medford Jordan.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Allene Defoor, Sue Juneau, and Marty McMann, and his brothers, Jimmy Jordan and Wymer Jordan.

          He is survived by his sister, Polly Jordan Walker of Marietta, GA, and his brothers, Jerry Jordan and his wife, Rheta, and Vance Jordan, all of Robbinsville, NC.  He has several nieces and nephews.

          Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Townson-Smith Chapel.  The Reverend Wayne McGuire will officiate.  Burial will follow at Bear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Wednesday, at the Chapel, prior to the service.
